‘A Place of Peace and Belonging’ documentary screening

On Friday, November 30th at 2.15pm the Grade 10-12 English class, Social Studies and History students will be screening their documentary work titled ‘A Place of Peace and Belonging.’ For the fourth year running, thanks to a grant from ArtStarts, film maker Moira Simpson returns to Lucerne to work with students on a research project turned into film. This year students have been researching the history of the Slocan Valley with a particular investigation into why the valley had become a place that people have migrated to in order to find peace and to find a sense of belonging. All are welcome to the first screening on Friday.
